Eden emulator and Switch 2 support
Eden and Eden-NX2 share a first name and not a download. Mixing them is the most common wrong file on this topic.
What v0.2.1 is
Eden v0.2.1 is dated 1 Jun 2026. It is the Switch 1 mainline, GPL-3.0-or-later, built around SDL2. The asset list includes Windows, Linux with Steam Deck and ROG Ally AppImages, macOS, and several Android APKs: standard, optimized, legacy, and ChromeOS.
Eden-NX2 is Takoroka's branch with its own release, nx2-2026-10-29, Windows only. The release calls the work an experimental Switch 2 integration. There is no longer document that maps every mainline feature onto that branch. I only have that sentence plus the file list.
Taking the Android APK or the Steam Deck AppImage from v0.2.1 and expecting Switch 2 games is the mistake this page exists to stop. Those packages belong to the Switch 1 line.

FAQ
Does Eden play Switch 2 games?
The mainline release does not claim that. The experimental claim is on Eden-NX2, and it is limited to booting named games on Windows.
Which nightly should I grab?
Nightly channels are a Switch 1 conversation. For Switch 2, the only Eden tag I am citing is nx2-2026-10-29.
