Switch 2 emulator on Linux
Desktop Linux has real archives. SteamOS is a separate page because its library versions were not pinned down.
AppImage or tar.gz
The AppImage is the self-contained choice and it wants glibc 2.39 or newer. That line matches Ubuntu 24.04, Fedora 40, Debian 13, and current Arch in the release notes. The tar.gz build uses system libraries and wants Qt 6.
Both amd64 and aarch64 show up. The notes prefer the PGO variants when you have a choice. There is no Flatpak and no Snap in the asset list.
Build 70 says desktop NVIDIA DLSS is compiled into the Windows MSVC package only. A Linux GPU does not gain that toggle by renaming the zip.
Make the AppImage executable, then start it from a terminal if you want the log. I am not publishing a per-distro test matrix I do not have.

FAQ
Which distro is supported?
The glibc floor is the requirement that was written down. A distro older than that floor is outside the note.
Does Linux have DLSS?
Not in the build 70 notes. DLSS is called out for the Windows MSVC archive.
