S2 SWITCH 2 EMULATOR Official builds

NXNative is a recompile, not an emulator

People search NXNative next to emulators. The readme is blunt: it runs a game's ARM64 code on the Apple chip and rebuilds Switch graphics with Metal.

What the readme claims

There is no tagged version number I could verify on 7 Nov 2026. The repositories were active that day. You bring your own game files. The Switch 1 workflow expects prod.keys; the Switch 2 NUP or extracted-folder route explicitly says those keys are not needed. This page will not host either, and it will not explain how to produce them.

The README introduction names seven Switch 2 games for Mac: Donkey Kong Bananza, Splatoon Raiders, Fire Emblem Fortune's Weave, Pokémon Pokopia, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Mario Kart World, and Mario Tennis Fever. Its gallery also includes Yoshi and the Mysterious Book and Ocarina of Time, making nine Switch 2 profiles visible when checked. The introduction and gallery have different counts. Switch 2 support on iPhone and iPad is not established by that Mac list.

NX Play's wrapper notes say an Apple silicon Mac on macOS 15 or newer, with Xcode opened at least once. Phones are described as an Xcode install or a sideloaded IPA. The upstream command-line build instructions separately require macOS 26.6 or later and Xcode 27.2. Those are different documented workflows, so macOS 15 is not a universal upstream build minimum.

nxnative.org says 143 tested games. That number belongs to the guide site, not to a release tag, so I am not promoting it to an official compatibility list. A VideoCardz headline about 60 frames on Donkey Kong was behind a block and stays out of the facts.

FAQ

Is NXNative a Switch 2 emulator for Mac?

No. It does not emulate the console. It recompiles listed games onto Apple silicon.

Does it run on iPhone?

The readme says Switch 2 games were not tested on iPhone or iPad. I am leaving it there.
