Best Switch 2 emulator, by job
I will not name a champion. The useful question is which line matches your machine and which game note you trust.
Pick by situation
If you want the first public Windows build, that is Eden-NX2 on 29 Oct 2026. It boots two big games and says the meshes are incomplete.
If you want the fastest-moving desktop line with Windows, Linux, and Mac archives, that is the Eglantine to Lichii chain. Lichii's compatibility page covers more titles than Eden-NX2's release text, and it is still a set of notes, not a certified list.
If you are on a Mac and you want a native recompile instead of an emulator, read NXNative. Pound, Voland, and oboromi are not choices for playing a commercial game today.
Frame rates are not a ranking. Mario Kart's title-screen 30 and a race at 30–38 came from different notes and, in the race case, an M4 Pro. Star Fox is both a 30 frame cap and a later 60 frame sentence, plus a crash report. Pokopia is a black screen on mainline Lichii and a playable claim on the PokeDinner fork.
